T3- Berlin Airlift
The Berlin Airlift was a long process. There were many conflicts. First it started with the Berlin Blockade, which was on June 24, 1948 at 6am. Everything was shut down and left 2,500,000 people to starve. they had to rebuild Germany and they divided Berlin. Soviets thought the block was working, the Berlin airlift started in Early April with small missions, they would have to fly flights which was impossible. It ended on May 12, 1949 it avoided war and it embarrassed the soviets, but the allies kept supplying. The Berlin airlift was important to the cold war because the wall was built in 1961, and kept Berlin divided and kept people out and away.
